I have a parts truck from 89 for my bed. it has the 4-speed tranny for the gassers. Can I by some miracle from god make this go on my cummins and make it last!
1989 d250 muffler delete diaphram turned, fuel screw turned, the lowes special intake

i dont see why not honestly. a manual trans is a manual trans. its all gear to gear so it will hold as much as the gear will hold.as long as you keep it cool the bearings should be fine. i dont mean it will necessarily hold up to 700 HP but with a moderatly rated truck, prolly something like 500 hp max, it should be good. I would put an extra quart of oil (just like the getrag) and prolly a cooler. but the bears should be all you have to worry about. but like i said as long as you keep it cool they should be good.

Price of the Cummins to NP-435 adaptor $, loss of overdrive (no od in the 435 1:1), sissy 11" clutches, :roll: . Why not rebuild your getrag to last.
