Those clamps that hold the heater lines over the manifold together?

Those things are brittle. Finger snug and 90 degrees, at the most...

Thanks for the warning. I just painted mine, and the lines. I was gonna put them on this weekend.

I was tightening mine, and I hear a "snap" and I think it was snugging on to a line. So I tighten a little bit farther and I hear another snap, this time one of the top fingers come off. That's when I realized the bottom finger broke at the first "snap". So I think "well, if I only have two fingers I'll just have to make it tighter", so I gave it another 45 degrees and the other two fingers snapped off.

Sure hope they didn't use that metal anywhere else on the truck.

Don't they use that same stuff in the auto trannys? Clutch drums, input shaft, right?
