Those clamps that hold the heater lines over the manifold together?

Those things are brittle. Finger snug and 90 degrees, at the most...

Thanks for the warning. I just painted mine, and the lines. I was gonna put them on this weekend. ;)

I was tightening mine, and I hear a "snap" and I think it was snugging on to a line. So I tighten a little bit farther and I hear another snap, this time one of the top fingers come off. That's when I realized the bottom finger broke at the first "snap". So I think "well, if I only have two fingers I'll just have to make it tighter", so I gave it another 45 degrees and the other two fingers snapped off.

Sure hope they didn't use that metal anywhere else on the truck. :shock:

Don't they use that same stuff in the auto trannys? Clutch drums, input shaft, right? :lol:
