Bought it new a couple years ago and never swapped it in. So 0 miles. (thought he chunked the getrag.... found out the rear end wasn't as strong as he thought)

Located in Snohomish, Washington.

Again... dont know if its a decent price, but its there.

If its a brand new trans, that's a good deal. If its used, not so much.

Bgbubbabrn might be looking for one though.

I don't think that Getrags are bad, I just thought I could change mine out for less money. In the end it did cost me a little more than just rebuilding the Getrag. But I'm very happy with the end result.

I have being chasing a good nv 4500 for a while most of what I find are punched so I gave up and figured I would just rebiuld the getrag. BUT oHHHH no you had to post thooose pictures!!! now the green Eye of jealousy has reared its ugly head ... I think i need to rethink the nv 4500 swap ;-) hey how high is your lift ???

I've been looking into swapping a nv4500 into my reg cab auto 4x4. If i got it out of a reg cab 2500 or 3500 would i need to swap drive shafts? Would i have to use the flywheel and clutch set up off a second gen? What do i really need to know to do this swap?

I don't know about driveshaft length differences between autos and manual trucks, and 2nd gens use a different transfercase that drops on the wrong side for our trucks. You can still use the 2nd gen trans though, just be sure to get the bellhousing, clutch hydraulics, and engine to bellhousing adapter plate. The clutches are the same. You will need to bolt up your existing NP205 to the NV4500. 1st gen manuals have a 29 spline t-case input, not sure about the autos.

The other option is using the "Advance Adapters" conversion bellhousing. With this bellhousing you can use 1st gen hydraulics, and it bolts up to your existing engine adapter. You also have to shorten the front bearing cover(supports the throwout bearing too) snout to make this conversion work. Its pretty straight forward.

Good luck :D
