i don't know if this is a dumb question(probably yes) but, what is an 89 ctd auto transmission? that isn't a 727 right?? its completely different
89 727-stageIvcomp 4in intake-amsoil air filter, 4in exhaust, dennyT, 366 spring. pump turned up to make me smile! low stall converter, rebuilt tranny at 120,000miles

Unless it has been changed it should be a 727.

Technically it's a 727HD or 37RH, that's Chrysler speak...

It is not the same 727 or 36RH that you would find in a car etc. It is a diesel specific unit, many of the same internals but the case is different.
1989 D250, 727, 3.07, BHAF, 4" exhaust, Usual Suspect Gauges, tuned VE, OSPP
