Leaking Getrag

Postby Renigade » Sun Jan 25, 2009 1:10 pm

I replaced the rear seal on my getrag and I crawled up under it today to see if everything sealed alright. Well It is dry there but right at the side and to the very top and rear of the tranny there is what appearers to be a drive for a speedometer cable and it looks like I have fluid coming out of it. Does this item have o rings to replace or is it strictly a replacement item.

There is an O-ring on the speedo adapter.

Be sure to mark the bottom of the adapter before you pull it out. Then reinstall it to that position. If you do not it will most likely strip the teeth off the speedo drive gear.
