Brake lights only work with hazards on

Postby spencerdiesel » Wed Jun 30, 2021 5:48 pm

So I was hoping replacing the multi function switch would solve this dilema, but no. Brake lights only function when the hazard button is on. And when the hazard button is on, the hazards don’t work.

Any insight to the next step is greatly appreciated, I’m not too savvy with electrical.

Thanks!

Have you tried replacing the flasher? Just swap it with the regular signal flasher.
I would have bet on the multifunction switch too, the brake lights go thru it.

Sorry Spence, I don't get on as often as I used to. Both flashers are in the fuse box, cylinder shaped things.

I appreciate it Pete! Unfortunately I’m not on much either, the ole girl still gets 21 or so mpg and hasn’t stranded me so far in 8 years and 110k though :)
