white plug under dash?

Postby watson0720 » Sun Feb 07, 2010 4:10 am

i was messing around yesterday under my dash trying to hook up a brake controller, well i found a constant source of power in that white plug, me being the dumb butt i accidently hooked the ground up to it and it popped and now there is no power to it and ive checked all my fuses, everything in the truck works, but i just wanna make sure i didn't mess something up when i did that.

Maybe you blew a fusible link. I'm not sure what white plug youa re referring to, but if the fuses are all good, it has to be a link.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

a fusible link is usually about a six to eight inch piece of wire that is usually a 24 ga. wire inline.

it's a big white plug right next to the radio, if you are laying on your back looking up into the underbelly of the dash, it only had one hot wire, but several pins.
