low pressure switch instead of temp probe?

Postby comotionman » Fri Jul 22, 2011 3:31 pm

forgive me if this has been discussed but i tried to search without luck. my truck was missing the hi and low pressure lines and i got a set that as it turns out are from an 89. the 89 did not use a temp probe with the clutch cycling control box and instead has a low pressure switch in the same spot on the suction tube where the probe would be. it has the same two prong configuration as the high press swith that mounts on the expansion valve. i see on my wiring harness the weathertite connector with three wires that would go to the small control box the temp probe communicates with. it seems that those control boxes are problematic anyway and are no longer serviced by dodge anyway. can i use the 89 line setup? has anybody else done this? how should i wire it? thanks for any help.
