check engine light- reading the codes?

ok so my dads abs and break light came on, so i turn the key off and on 3 times and it brings up code 55. anyone have a book for them? if not im sure its in that abs modual along the frame rail

55 is "end of codes".
To read the ABS module, the port for the scanner is usually located near the hood release cable.

i figured it out after reading the link, but thanks mark, my brothers got a scanner, were gonna have to hook it up someday, i hate idiot lights, even when there not on my truck
