Wierdest Problem I Had Yet!!

Postby 91cumminsd250 » Sun Oct 09, 2011 11:24 am

I was goin down the highway and it was starting to get dark, like really dark. I realized my headlights went out after a couple minutes. I got off at a gas station and shut it off and popped the hood. Then tried the lights again and the headlights were on, but every other single light was off. The turn signals still work and so do the brake lights. I have tried a new headlight switch and every fuse i could think of, along with the ground next to the radiator. Still nothing. Any advice?

I had a weird headlight problem once not the same as your situation, turned out being a bad dimer switch , or as they call the multifunction switch.

i had the same problem with only the headlights working, the black wire with yellow tracer is the marker lights power wire. my problem was were the wire spliced off and went to the cab lights down to the fire wall, pulled it apart and installed a butt connector. there is also a marker light relay (atleast there is on mine) that you may want to check.

Hey thanks for the help. I got it worked out finally. Turns out I caused a few shorts because of bad running board light wiring
