my 93 is dead

Postby hippo » Wed Nov 16, 2011 11:24 pm

First off my heater fan quit working, hot wired it to a toggle. Headlight switch quit working. The female side of the light plug had the power to the lights from the switch melted, I don't have time to get a new switch so hot wired that to different toggle. The factory original switch made everything else work fine. Running lights, dash dimmer all work withe switch. On the way home my lights on a different switch and my running lights etc. started to flicker get bright and the radio went on and off. Shut it off tried to start it nothing. Not even the stuff that runs directly off the battery. Won't start nothing. Please point me in a general direction. Hopefully things look better in the morning because right now it looks like I'll be walking to work. Thanks chris

I may have answered my own? Ground wires maybe. We'll see in the morning. The fall really sucks

my truck did that to me when a hot lead from the battery shorted, I fixed it but it turned out the engine did not have a propper ground to the body. (that was the whole problem)
