i reused the original battery box and jus turned the batterys as you see in the picture, i did have to take the one support that comes from fender to what the batterys sit on and get rid of it to make room, but everythings still good and sturdy, as for hooking them together we jus made those 2 short red cables you see in the pic and hooked +to+ and -to-
depending on how tall yur batterys are you may be able to wedge them into the inside of the fender a bit farther, mine were to tall.

i now have 1900 CCA and im hopeing that my truck will actually start this winter, affor if would make a quarter stroke and then die with a brand new battery, my thought is that i advanced the timing to far and im to laze to retard it

or strap in :D but yea all i had to do was remove 2 bolts that held what i think is the battery base support which really isnt needed, cus mine is still just as solid as ever amd then set them sidways like i did, i also used for now a 2x4  to put in between the 1st battery and the front of the truck so it wouldnt rub against my headlight wires, look at my picture and about anyone could do it

I have absolutely no need for that other than just wanting it. My truck starts with a half crank but more battery is better right?

Hmm.. i tried sliding 2 interstates in there couldnt really get em in there, even if i did i didnt feel to confident with the weight of both batteries being on that one side. Im putting one on the other side tucked in the well where the stock filter used to be. And run some 2gauge cables. It looks good tho. Good pic. I would like to see some setups

i actually changed the directions of them, cus i put an intercooler in it and then one battery was in the way, so they are now parallel with the fenders, real tight fit, but it fits, and nothing is rubbing(put rubber so it wouldnt) :D

i did have to take the fender support rod off to make it work. my batterys may also be skinnier
also if anyone does it like me, put a chunk of wood or something between the battery and your light socket so it doesnt hit

just my 2cents but, ive always found that a dual system likes 2 quality batterys better than 2 cheepo's, if you opt for the cheep ones 9 times out of ten one will eventually die, take out the other, and usually your alternator at the same time.

actually 10 times out of 10 all batteries will eventually die. thats what they do. still on a dual battery system as one battery fails it puts more load on the existing good battery and to a point the alternator. just test them individually occasionally and replace as needed.
