fuel level sending units

Does anyone know the ohm reading or have a book with specs for the fuel level sending units on mid-70's Dodge trucks and a 1992 Dodge truck as I am making a 79 Dodge Cummins truck and want the factory 79 fuel gauge to work correctly with the 92 Cummins tank.
