Your going to need to tap into the brake light circuit before it goes to the steering column. I would tap into the wire right after the brake switch. You then will need to run a fused hot back for the topper interior light. Don't forget to run a ground as well. If you splice in the rear harness it blink with the blinker for that side the wire controls.
