Headlight issues

Postby pulltilbroke » Sun Aug 28, 2011 9:22 pm

So last night I let a buddy use my truck( he is one of the few privelidged people I trust with it)

Anywho he gets back and I got no headlights, I had an issue with the high beam before and it was no big deal as it was the dimmer switch. I figured it finally just took a total dump. So today I put a dimmer in it and that fixed my high beams but the lows still don't work.

What else can it be.

My switch has had problems getting hot from loose connections in the plug. The female spade connections will swell and melts into the plastic and cause this.
Warning: aftermarket light switches SUCK!
I'm on my third one and its only alive now because of the relays I've installed for the headlights.

Check your headlights themselves. The blue 91 dually I brought bak from CO had this issue, and coincidentally, both headlights went out on the high side at the same time. Took the old test light to figure it out.
