Cab Wire harness question

Postby PToombs » Mon Sep 05, 2011 6:05 pm

I can't seem to find the timer for my halo (key) light. Does a regular plain jane non LE truck have it? I know there are no extras in the harness, cruise, interval wiper, etc. Just wondered if this is a standard or LE part.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

It "should" have one.
All of the running non-LE trucks I've looked at have the light.

Mark, I figured it out. I was out looking at it tonite, and the key switch has the light, but the non LE harness doesn't have any wires for it. The plug is a 4 wire connecter, but only has the wires for the "key in" buzzer, which I had disconnected because I hate the buzzer. The non LE harness also doesn't have cruise, interval wipers, and a couple other things that my beer fogged mind can't remember right now.
I'm gonna send you a PM in a few minutes unless I forget. ;)

Is the bulb burned out, or no wires for it? It is a tiny little one for sure.

Bryan, there are no wires to it. The molded plug on the key switch has 4 pins, 2 go internal to the key in switch, and 2 wires to the light bulb. The harness only has the 2 wires for the key in switch. Which I hate, damn buzzer anyways! :x The key switch is a fitz all, both I have are the same, the original and the tilt one. I looked briefly before for the halo timer and couldn't find it. Now I know why!

And yeah, it is a tiny thing, but I'm used to working with tiny things. ;)
