OD/SP meter problems

Hi
First the Speedometer quit working, then about a year later the Odometer quit
Then I started looking at fixing SP/OD problems first I replaced the VSS
Then I checked and reran wiring
(Squirrels ate wrapping from and some of the wiring, they love fusible links)
Removed SP/OD gage
Noticed 20 tooth OD gear had only 19 teeth
Ordered a 20 tooth replacement
Then I noticed that the circuit board on left for the speedometer part was fried
Of course I noticed this after I order parts ……

I am now looking at how to replace circuit board and so far I am at a loss
Any ideas or help .. should I just look at replacing the whole SP/OD as a unit??

Broken gears – cause may have something to do with resetting trip mileage wile driving or moving
