Battery Cables

Postby nolafishr » Sat Feb 11, 2012 4:37 am

I need some new battery cables for my 93, mine are in rough shape and I want to change them out. I was wondering where you guys are getting yours from.

I either buy bulk wire and crimp on/hammer on ends and make my own. Or buy the borg-warner premade cables, they're factory specific made. Which ever way is cheaper ;)

If your wondering the tool to crimp the ends with is 20$

1/0 welding cable and hammer crimped ends here. there's no such thing as too big a battery cable. heat is the enemy. keep them clean and they'll last forever.

be sure and run a ground to the core supposrt also, it helped mine with the pulsing lights at idle at night and just makes for a good connection all round
