Postby tampabayBill » Mon Feb 27, 2012 1:00 pm

Truck off, locked sitting in driveway. Brake lights come on-stay on about 20 seconds then go off. Happens again a few hours later. Been going on for a couple weeks. Ideas, suggestions ??? I need a hand here guys. Thanks way in advance.................Bill

My truck has a tendency to do that as well.

On mine, either the switch wasn't staying in place in the bracket, or the bracket bent on me this last time. Can bend it by hand pretty easy.

Now, if the switch somehow is no longer staying tight in the bracket its self, all I did was get a die and cut some threads and put a nut on it. PO had it zip tied in, and didn't work, but the nut does. :D

Used 1/2" die, IIRC.
