NON IC military tach hookup

Postby m880cummins » Tue Mar 06, 2012 7:28 pm

I noticed all the 1st gen aircraft tugs have a tachometer. How do they hook that up?

They have a power lead, ground, light and 2 sensor wires.
The military ones (Autometer OR Autogauge), read RPMs off a sensor attached to the alternator with a giant hose clamp.
