Will a 2003 Dodge CD player fit in our dash?

Postby Mopardragster » Sat May 26, 2012 11:22 am

I just bought a 2003 Dodge CD stereo and all the speakers out of a quad cab for next to nothing. Before I tear into my truck will it fit without too much cutting or should I just go buy aftermarket? Thanks.

Nope, '01 and below will fit with only minor mods to the mounting tabs. Anything over '01 the harness and lots of other stuff is different. I have am/fm/cd/cassette players in my 97 and 92.

GFY! I still have a bunch of 8 tracks from the 80's that have some of my favorite music on them. I'd like to copy them to cassette, or cd. I don't have an 8 track player though.......

You guys talking about 8 tracks and the 70's makes me feel really young.

Caleb, we should have a game at SOP, see how many people know what it is. Most of us are older, so it may not be quite fair.

I have seen older Chryslers with a phonograph (record player) in the back seat.
Pretty intriguing, but archaic at the same time.

One old Desoto had a Phonograph in it AND swing-out front bucket seats!
Now THAT was wild! 8)

I'm only 42, but I've cruised through probably 1,500 junkyards, or more, in my time.

Mark.
