dome light short?

ok so my dome light, cargo lamp and light above my heater controls dont work. thought it might be the switch so i replaced it from one i bought at the parts store i work at and still no work. it has worked twice for about 3 minutes each time but it flickers and then goes out. i narrowed it down from the switch to the door and its somewhere in between. anyone have any other idea what it might be?

My dome light circuit is blowing the fuse (10amp). If I stick in a 15 amp something gets really hot. Gotta tear out the dash...
