More often than not, the starters overall hold up just fine. Have to replace the contacts every once in a while. $25 in parts. The one on the pos side burns up and gets thin. Can get the ones for a 24v starter and runn them. A LOT more surface area, and last a long time!
Acts almost like a dead battery when it happens.
