wierd dash lights

Been drivn the truck about a month now. Gauge lights have never worked since I got it never even a flicker or anything. Kinda didnt worry bout but las night suddnely the were working. Kicker is tho the dont come on with the headlight switch they come on with key. Nothing else has changed stuff that hasnt worked still dont work and stuff the has worked still works. Any ideas?
