Speedo intermitant

My speedometer works most of the time, but not always. If its working it is fine but i can shut the truck off and then next time i drive it no speedo. Or it may work fine. It doesnt quit while driving or if i dont shut the truck off. Any ideas appriciated. Was thinking ignition switch. 93 d250 getrag

Ok not the ignition switch, sometime it doesnt work until i reach about 30. Im thinking vss may need replaced. Any ideas appriciated greatly.

Any time mine has acted up it's been the vss.
