Can someone give me an easy step by step to by pass the cps and computer crap in the charging system.

Pretty sure my cps just crapped out and I'm not paying $122 that Napa wants.

What regulator do I put where?

Eric look in the last page or so in my 82 build tread, there's a self exciting reg that I'm using on a dodge alt. The part numbers there, and if you have a rebuild shop close they can get it.....you may be able to as well but idk. With all the hell folks go through with the dodge crap I don't think I'd put myself thru that if I could help it.

Do I put it in line on the green wire? Meaning if I ran a wire from the battery to a regulator and then from the regulator to post that the green wire is on, is that how it's done?

My green wire, that's supposed to have 7 volts or whatever that changes with how charged the battery is............that thing just jumps all over the place from .1 to 18 volts in about a 10th of a second non stop.

If you have an OEM regulator plug, Blue is "hot", Green is switching ground.
Green runs from the regulator straight to one of the alternator brush terminals, the blue wire ties into switched power AND the other alternator brush terminal.

If you want to call me at 402-780-5127, I can clear the air on the wiring.
I want to ask you some technical injection questions anyway.

Mark.

I will call you Mark.........

However, LOL............today is me and the wife's 3rd Anniversary and we are leaving tomorrow to AZ. So I won't be able to call you until next Friday or Saturday...........which is when I need to fix the truck anyways.

I'll write your number down so you can edit it off if you feel need be.

My number is for public use, with caller ID I can usually tell an idiot call from a real one. :D
As far as the info I need, I'll probably figure it out by then.
