Check the VSS (vehicle speed sensor), the ratio box, and the wiring to it all. It is located on the back side of the transfer case at the rear output...

Can you please tell me where the VSS (?) unit is located on a 1992 2WD D250,360
with an Automatic Trans?

And exactly how to diagnose & repair it?

Also if you can help me with a new part replacement source?

Preferably NOS OEM?

You need a Factory Service Manual. Geno's garage, eBay, various other places have them. It tells you how to do just about everything on your truck.
