Radio/Speakers???

I installed an aftermarket radio into a buddies 92 W250 and the only speaker that works is the one behind the driver. He bought new speakers to put in it so we took the old speaker out in the driver side and the new one will not work, but the hot wire has power. Help????? How do I make the speakers work? What would cause it?

Speaker circuits don't have a "hot" wire, they cycle power back and forth across the circuit to make the speaker to in and out. If you've got a solid 12v to any of the wires you've either got the harness wired up wrong or a short somewhere along the line.

Well sthi....the harness is probably wrong then because the one wire has 12v to it....all the time........dang it.
