"wait to start light" issue

Postby TNScrambler » Sun Dec 02, 2007 8:52 pm

So when I got my truck none of the lights on the center dash plaque worked....so I took off the panel and found the plug was left unpluged.

now the lights work, however the "Wait to start light" never goes off when you turn the key on. Once the truck is running however, the light never goes out and actually starts to blink ever so often, maybe every three or so second intervals.

Also, the parking brake light stays on while the truck is running even though its disengaged?

Any sugestions on these?

Thanks,
Justin

What year is the truck? 2 or 4 wd? If you fill out your sig, it will help a lot! ;)
On the brake lite, I bet the ABS is bad, and the ABS lite in the Message Center is bad. Might be the parking brake switch, or the switch on the proportioning valve. On the WtS lite, might be a sensor or the PCM.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
