No crank but has power

Postby countrymoparguy » Mon Feb 16, 2015 1:43 pm

So this is my first post on here, I tried searching for my answer but couldn't find anything.

I have a 93 d250 5 speed. Every once in awhile when try to start truck, turn the key and nothing happens. Almost like battery is removed, but all the lights are on and everything works. Turn key a few times and then it'll start up and runs fine. I have a ignition switch being weird or what do you guys think? Thanks!

Is the neutral/clutch safety thingy switch sure? (I've got an automatic trans but . . . .. ;))

And welcome to our forums. :)

It could be a few things. It could be the clutch safety switch as BC stated or starter.

Whack on the starter with something heavy and metallic when it refuses to start.
