crank but no power

Postby skylar827_7 » Sun Apr 19, 2015 4:22 pm

Hello i have a 93 w250 auto. i just redid the battery terminal post clamps and now it wont start, the previous owner has stuff running off the positive terminal and i tried wiring it up like he had it and nothing. checked my fuses and everything. i have no power to the whole vehicle it seems none of my lights come on, buzzer gauges etc. i really need to roll my windows up. it may rain later, i smell it in the air.

thanks

There is a larger wire that goes to the positive side that feeds power to a lot of things. On my truck it runs to an isolated terminal on the fender where other wires run off of. When I first put my truck together I hooked it to the negative not paying attention.

Wow I feel stupid right now, i had it set aside to make sure i wired it up. But i forgot to wire it up. Maybe i should have tied a big orange flag around it.

Thanks !!

Don't feel bad it took me a few hours to figure it out. I never understood why it was a black wire.
