aftermarket cruise on a 85 cummins swap

truck has an engine from a 90 and nv4500 from a 2000 dont have the truck yet hopefully buying it sat. but was wondering about aftermarket cruise the guy has a kit he bought somewhere he said he will throw in on the deal but never installed it do they work ok on a swap like this? no idea what brand it it

I had a 91 with aftermarket cruise and it worked well enough. I cant imagine it would be too much different ina swap like that. I think it was made by rostra?

You are probably better to use an aftermarket set-up. The OEM electronic cruise set-up can be very problematic.

Someone mentioned once about using a cruise set-up from a mid to late 80's GM? They had a stand alone controller that required a VSS signal, ignition power and a ground, and that is about it?
1984/93 Dodge Crewcab, W350, 1 Ton SRW, long box, 330K Km's, M&H spacer, 366 spring, fuel pin to deep side, 14cm housing, Piston LP, PS IC, Isspro Boost, Pyro and tach, NV4500, 29 spline NP205, 3.54's.
