If you get the correct alternator or take yours to a rebuild shop they can alter it to a 1 wire, then you don't have to "make it fit". Not sure if you were thinking of getting a Delco or what, but thought I'd throw that out there.
I think 120 should be plenty, I can't remember what is on it stock, I think around there.
