dash lights

Postby nojackwayne » Sun Sep 07, 2008 9:25 pm

alright, the dash lights for my guages quit. when you pull the park lights on, they work, and the headlights work too. so does the interior light when you twist the knob. And no, I don't have the dash lights dimmed right down with the switch!lol Ichecked all my fuses and they are good.
Any ideas?
The only light that comes on when the headlights are on is the high/low beam indicator.

do your taillights work? check for a blown fuse. otherwise i might try a new light switch.

Are you running any additional lights off the headlight switch? They can barely handle the stock load. Probably going to need a switch.

Any resolution to this problem? My dash lights won't come on anymore (they arent dimmed!), but the headlights, cab lights and taillights all work still...but no dash lights!

Check fuse 4 and 14, if they are both good see if you get a changing voltage at fuse 14 to ground when you turn the dimmer. If you do not, it is the rheostat on the headlight switch.
