How to dim A pillar gauges?????

I have some autometer gauges munted on the "A" pillar that blind me they are wired into the dimmer switch but when I try to dim them down they don't the dash lights will go out before they will dim down low enough what is every body else doing????

I would guess that you hooked your gauge light's up to the wrong wire on the dimmer. I have had issue's finding the right wire before in a couple trucks. What I did to find the right wire this time was to locate a hot wire on the dimmer switch with my test light, and then dim the lights, if the test light dims you found the right wire, if not try another.

I sprayed a little coat of green paint over the bulbs on my isspros and they are perfect. I like the green hue too. :lol:

I put the red slip on covers on the bulbs. Does not blind me but I have not run them with just the bare bulbs. I tapped into the wire that goes to the heater face light.

There is a 5A fuse on the panel that is fed from the dimmer, thats what I feed my gauge lights off..after gauge #5 I put in a 7.5A
91.5IC 4x4 5spd extra springs

Does your gauges have LED bulbs for illumination? If you have LED lights they will not dim with the dimmer, you will have to buy a special dimmer just for them.
