hard start to no start

first, i've been reading this site for bout a week, great stuff. Now the problem, truck started with a slow drag a week ago, lost regulator, replaced.Charged battery, then day later done same dragin start, chg'd ground cable, still bad start, then tonite, no start. just click click. battery checks at 12.56 volts. HELP
