91 gasser

Postby 90FIRSTGEN CUMMINS » Fri Apr 17, 2009 6:38 pm

I had a 91 gasser and a penny fell in the lighter and it burnt wires under the hood before the fuse blew.

You can't buy fuses for these any more. I just keep switching mine from 1 hole to another. Radio in the daylight, lights at night, heater or wipers, etc. I can drive in the rain or the cold, but not both. Or I can have heat and wipers, but no lights. Really sucks!

Do you even know where the fuses are?

Your truck has a radio, heater, and wipers!?!?!?!? Your lucky...

Hey folks, i am having the same problem.. Plugged in the ipod charger and no go. No pennies in, no fuses blown... Any ideas? I checked the plugs on the back with a multi meter and nothing... The wires jump right into the harness so I have no idea where to trace them from there.

Levi, you happen to remember what it was stuck in my lighter that kept blowing fuses?

Pennel, I think the lighter is by itself on a fuse, but I can't remember for sure. Check the fuse connections in the box, sometimes the terminals get loose and don't make contact. Do you have power at the fuse? If not, there may be a burned fuseable link.

We had a lot of fun in this thread! I miss Richie, you guys are getting better, but you ain't no Rich when it comes to abuse. Although Mr. Ellis comes close sometimes. ;)
