the same thing happens to my w150 .......

when the blower motor stops , if i whack the dash , above the radio , it comes back on ..........

i suspect the blower speed control is goofy .

i hear if you make regular burnt offerings to the "spirit " that resides in each and every dodge , you can prevent most electrical problems :D :D :D

The plug on the back of the fan switch is probably melted. They get loose, then a bad connection and then get hot, melting the plug.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

My 1/2ton did the same key thing. Apparently the return spring gets weak, and it doesnt come fully back to the "run/on" position.

ok so i think i got it narrowed down from the fuse box to the ignition
or the ignition to the battery but for the mean time while it is supposed to
snow in ohio i just hard wired it from the battery to the fuse box with 12 ga wire and another 30 amp fuse so i dont melt anything... should work for now

Change the switch. If jiggling the switch brings the heater fan on or if it just goes on and off going down the road it is usually the switch. If you pull it out you will see a charred section. They are all the same and I found them at a pick a part wrecker. No problems in three years since change.
