Cruise control

My cruise control is acting up. It didn't work all of last week, at all. No reaction from the on/off switch...nothing. Today I got nothing for the first 20 minutes I was on the road, and then I tried again and it worked. But I went over a slight bump on the freeway and it kicked off suddenly. Tried it again a while later and it surged on me, and then cut out abruptly. I have no idea whats going on. It has worked fine in the past, except for one other time when it kept cutting out over bumps on the freeway.

My cruise cuts out everytime i hit a big bump on the highway, i think thats from a very sensative switch on the brake pedal
