All the time in commercial trucks. I have them in my dump trucks. Basically around here at least the cell phone has taken over for personal use. A few years ago everybody that plowed had them so they could call for help if they got stuck. I have 1 in my 89 but only because it was there when I bought it.

I didn't mean commercial trucks.

I see trucks on Autotrader or other forums all the time with CB's installed, and I really am just curious as to whether or not people use them, in just daily driving.

I'm not making fun of them, I really am curious.

All I can think about is Smokey and the Bandit when I hear CB radio. Greatest movie of all time. :D

If you can believe that. ;)

We had a guy that was on an island just off shore. Man he was crazy on the cb. He used to say the funniest things. Not really any traffic on any of the channels cept for 19 anymore.

In my last RamCharger I had it up on a Shelf-It above the windshield but I went to a full size unit in the Crew it's mounted to the dash frame under the glovebox. It's out of the way and still reachable for adjustments although.

$75! For a shelf? Am I getting as cheap as Bill or is that way expensive? :(
I was looking at those radio headliners from JCW but it says they won't work in a factory headliner cab. I wonder why?

I hope to mount my CB back in the truck tomorrow, weather permitting. I put the buckets and console in today.
Along with my tailpipe, since Jeff seemed concerned it was missing. ;)

It was a pita. I used the 2 existing holes and had to drill 2 holes on each side for the buckets to mount. The tough part was redoing the ramcharger mounts so they would sit nice. I started with a piece of 3/4 wood under the rear of the mount so it had a good feel for me, then ended up cutting 3/4 from the front to lower it down. A tilt wheel is a must, I'm kinda jammed under the wheel as it is. Smaller buckets would be better in a regular cab for sure.
Pretty sure I don't have any pics.
