He F'ed it up! ;)

Seriously, sounds like a loose wire in the dash or a bad ground. I've never heard of the brake and ABS lights blinking, usually they just come on and stay. The radio cutting out makes me think bad ground.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

does yer shut off solenoid still work or are you part of the pull cable club? when my solenoid quite, i left the power wire hooked to it. one day i turned the pump down to let a friend borrow the truck and knocked the wire loose. it would short out when i hit a bump and caused the same problem you have. it finally grounded out and set the wire harness by the batt on fire  .

Under the dash, around the ash tray area, there is a plate that number of accessory grounds all attach to.
It has a main ground that's held in place, along with this plate, with an 8mm (5/16") nut and I have seen the nut work loose and cause funny power issues like this.

I really wish this forum had direct pic upload capabilities, I could show you exactly where it is, since I have about 3 dashes out of trucks, trying to come up with an excellent wiring and dash for the hauler.

If this hadn't been ONLY A TEST, the image you would have seen would have been of another version of a gutted truck.
This concludes this test of gutted truck photography.
