truck wont start

truck wont start

truck wont start have checked fusible links all have continuity through tthe connector on both sides i have voltage to the starter relay and my wire to the solenoid has continuity . i have jumped the starter and it turs over fine . i am not getting any power to the key switch at all i unpluged the big conector on the key switch and i cant find any voltage anywhere on the plug . any ideas thanks

1991.5 intercooled regular cab power window door locks power mirrors replaced the doors with manual windows and mirrors hope this helps ? im not havin any luck getting this thing started tried jumpin the fuel shut off solenoid and jumpin the stater with a jumper cable turns over but wont fire would like to at least start it up and pull it in the shop . thanks for anyt ideas

Did you jump the right thing on the injection pump? The shut off solenoid is on the top, above the injector lines. The KSB is very visible on the side towards the battery.
Maybe check the plug where the wires go thru the firewall. They may be corroded there, or burnt.

i was trying to use the test light for a jumper made a real jumper and got it started i have power to the blower motor cab light glove box light but no power getting to the key seems completley dead and i cant find power to any of the terminals on either plug at the key switch

You should have 12 v at 2 places on that big plug to the keyswitch if not fuse lnk trust me
Keep the Shine side up and the rubber side down

what two terminals on the big plug should have power ? at least the big red one im guessing thanks

got power cumin through the fire wall on a red wire with white tracer there is also a large red wire that comes from a fusible link that is spliced into two small red wires neither of the small red wires have power but there is continuity through the fusible from the two small wires to the large red wire

I believe it is the big red one Fuse link and turns ito a black and pink at the keyswich also the Yellow wire should be hot if they are not chk and trace the wires back dont trust the fuse link they will look good but they will fool you
