help truck died when turned off!!!

i was driving down the road yesterday and my 93 ctd auto popped the brake light on.when i got it home i shut it off and changed the fuse.when i turned the key...nothing happened.no power no buzzer nothing.if i turn it to the acc position counter clock wise it has power.i checked the fusible links for the grids and they are fine.what should i d next?i was gonna replace the ignition switch but don't want to replace parts after parts.
