broken climate control cable

I took my truck to car toys and they broke the temperature sliding lever cable. They refuse to fix it so I am going to. Does anyone know how to do this? I recommend that no one goes to car toys , they have bad service and they don't fix anything

Go to a junkyard and get one. A gasser one is the same, it's what I did.

Did you have to pull the whole dash off?

You can see where it hooks on to the heater box by pulling the glove box. I think mine is missing something because it won't go all the way to the cold position on panel but door has full movement.
