Dually bed for big tires?

Postby m880cummins » Tue Nov 22, 2011 6:57 pm

I was wondering for a while if anyone has taken a dually bed, taken the flares off and put in on a SRW truck to fit bigger tires and then matched the opening size of the rear wells to that of the fronts?

I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish here?
You do realize that the front SRW/DRW wheel fender openings are the SAME size as the rear SRW ones, correct?
Regardless, the rear wheel houses are the same between the 2, also.
Modifying the front fenders by enlarging the radii means removing the inner fenders and relocating a LOT of stuff, wiring, batteries, washer bottle, etc.
That's unless you re-work the inners to fit the increased opening size, which would also a monumental task.
Not saying it can't be done, just that doing so is very involved.

I have several sets, make an offer that's not dirt cheap, because they are a real pain to ship.
