The flimsiness around the door handle was a common problem on A-body mopars (duster dart valiant demon ext) and their is a company that makes a plate that bolts to the door handle u can make ur own out of a flat piece of steel works awesome btw a little FYI if ur looking for new chrome door handles they are the exact same as an A body Mopar and if ur door hinges are wore out beyond bushing kit repair they as we'll as the same as an A body Mopar and autometaldirect.com sells new ones

The '81-'86 doors are a much better product and don't have the vents, which cure the lower hinge "pullout" issue.

It's really a night and day difference, but the '81-'85 doors have the wrong door latches, so that means swapping them OR the striker pin on the door jamb.
1986 doors have the smaller pin, but beware, sometime in later 1986 is when Dodge started to switch to the weaker vented doors.

The vent window assembly also changed in @ 1986 or 1987, I believe.

Mark.
