Light upgrades

Postby hydroshok » Sun Sep 16, 2012 4:18 pm

I don't know if this is the right place, but I have been looking for new marker/turn signal lights on the front under the headlights. Is there a website that sells clear ones or regular replacements? I found side markers on e-bay and one front replacement. Both of my fronts are cracked. Thanks!

What year of truck are you dealing with?

Sorry. Forgot I have no sig yet. Its an 89 D350. It has an 83 crew cab. I don't know if the grill that the light mounts to is 83 or 89 though. Is there any difference or a way to tell?

My '89 has the turn signals molded into the head light buckets. I've never seen clear turn signals for the the older 1st gens. A salvage yard is a good bet for replacements

83 and 89 both have a non replaceable front turn signal lens, although they are different. The 81-85 grille hhasa bunch of squares, the 86-90 has a cross hair.

I'm not sure what you mean so which one do I have?

Any suggestions to fix the cracks would be great. I hate that yellow repair tape. It looks like crap. Best bet just to find a whole grill from a junk yard?

You have the '86-'90 grille. The plactic piece that goes around the head light and includes the turn signal is all one piece, the plastic grile is one big piece, and that aluminum trim is one big piece that goes around it all. I'd look in a salvage yard. I'm sure Dodge has some buried in a warehouse, but they likely aren't cheap

Cool. Thanks! I'll check around. Glad I didn't buy that one on Ebay now...

Those do look good. I was going to say they are cheap too, but then I read the bottom. Thanks for the link.
