I never understood why they bolted some of it and taped the rest.

The only thing i can think of is those are the only pieces with bends in them. They were probably afraid the tape would come off. Are the emblems on the fenders taped also or are they bolted?

Mine are glue/taped on.

Had one emblem get loose and I found the glue/tape bond had failed here, and rust had come through there. Found one hole rusted through under it all.

So THAT'S what my '93 looked like with a nice paint job and rockers! :D Have a few nice holes through the floor too. ~500k miles and counting. :D The pass side is the roughest looking. Rockers gone on drivers side too, but no peeling paint really, and pretty straight. Not sure what all happened to the pass side. Can see that it was jack-knifed into a g/n at one time. They blew out the rear window in the process. Nice new one in there when I got it. :D
