turn signal lever broke....

Postby 1990CTD » Tue Jan 01, 2013 8:48 am

My turn signal lever/bright light switch is broke. It is broke at the base and I can't turn on the bright lights because I have a gt grant steering wheel cause the old one was junk and it hits, and I can't put on the left turn signal because it hits so I have to hold it down. Any ideas on how to fix them or rig something up. I tried to super glue it but didn't hold. Its the plastic price around the little shaft inside it, it is snapped off where at the base.

Replace it. It's a pretty easy job to do, couple screws on the column covers, and a couple holding the multifunction switch on, and one large flat electrical connector and you are good to go!

Any auto parts store can get them. Here is one for a 93.

I don't need the whole switch. I just need the lever, it is broke. The switch works I just can't use it good because the lever is broke and rubs before it clicks.

I don't think you can just buy that. They wear out after a while and for only $50 something dollars its a cheap part to replace.
