Well i got the cab off yesterday, i spose i gotta put my pedals in it and get my steering colemn in and start sanding on my underhood panels to paint black
Think i might put some role on bedliner stuff on the inside of the floor and probly up the back to the window, objections on that?

If you see any signs of surface rust on the cab use a rust neutralizer before you put tge bedliner material and make sure uou scuff the whole area or it will bubble up and come off.

Hansen, I did that, went from window to window. If you reach in the back often you'll wish you didn't do the back wall. I scuff my hands on it all the time reaching for stuff. It might not be so bad if you use something smoother. The stuff I used has chunks of rubber in it and it's coarse!

Ok, Thanks for the tips, as for the rust, any sign of rust on the floor wipe off with a rag
and Pete, i kinda thought about maybe putting carpet from the floor up to the trim piece, with some sound deadener behind it, because with the second gen seats you can see the back wall when the consoles down, I guess i wouldnt even need the bedliner stuff back there if i was jus gonna carpet that

Got a little bit done over the past couple days, whole inside of the cab is scuffed up good and got some of this laid down. 1 can didnt make it near as far as id hoped

gonna put prolly 2 coats where your feet rest and one coat on the everything else including above the headliner.
I dont think it does much in the way of sound deadening, but should be a good base for when water gets spilled on it

Someone wrote that if they put a 5600 in another truck they would put a 1" body lift on it. Said it fit fine but he pulled the trans and found two spots where it was rubbing.

I used some by Plasti-Kote, it's some pretty rough stuff. I bought a gallon and brushed it on. I also did the back of the cab on the outside. I don't recommend that, I've torn my hands open several times reaching back there to work on the stacks. :(

I took your advice and went against any kind of rough stuff in the cab pete, I'm gonna get one more can tomorrow and finish the inside of the roof, then its onto taking the windshield out, painting the dash and all its pieces,.and then outside work :x
Also have to do a little bit of welding on the cab I'll grab a picture of it tomorrow where it is cracking i remember it was cracked in the same place on my old cab before it was rolled
